Terms and Conditions


 

Party Bookings and Deposits


Party bookings are not confirmed until we have received a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the party cost. Deposits and other party payments are taken by credit card, debit card or cash; we do not accept cheques. All major cards are accepted including American Express. Booking confirmations are sent via email and responses will be taken as acceptance to our Terms and Conditions as well as the House Rules of Barney’s Playbarn. Confirmations will not be sent until after a deposit has been paid. Provisional bookings are taken on an individual basis, but are only held for 48 hours.


Outstanding balances must be made one week before the party. We reserve the right to make any changes to your party without notice.


 

Cancellations


All deposits are non-refundable. Exceptions to this or postponements may be considered on an individual basis by management and postponement fee may be applied; Managements word is final.


 

Menu and Attendance


Confirmed numbers and food options for all party types must be sent to Barney’s Playbarn at least ONE week before the party date this should be in writing via email is preferred. We will need to be notified of any additional guests as part of the confirmation ONE WEEK before your party.  You will still be charged full price for party guests who do not attend. If food options are not confirmed for party, options will be chosen for you. Barney’s reserves the right to make changes to menus or substitutions dependent on availability.


Only food purchased from Barney’s Playbarn may be consumed on the premises. Celebration cakes are exempt from this. To help accommodate dietary requirements, please inform us of any allergies when booking the party of when confirming food choices at least a week before your party. Please note our food is not prepared in a Gluten/ Nut/ Dairy Free environment; although every precaution is taken cross contamination can occur.  We shall try our very best to accommodate any allergens or intolerance's although sometimes this is not possible.


To enable us to meet the Government guideline's parties are for a maximum of 30 people to include adults; guests must be from the same social/school bubble. Parties will be held on Sundays, the party will have exclusive use of the venue. To comply with guidance and the law, Guests are asked to socially distance from one another, up to 2 adults and 2 children per table or two family per table. Masks must be worn indoors by those over the age of 11, whilst seated at the table masks may be removed. For social distancing and safety purposes we encourage only necessary adults that are supervising attend the party a ration of 1 adult to 8 children is recomended.


 

Party Room and Decorations


Depending on the Governments changing advice the party room may not be available for your party. Decorations are welcome but they are to be put up with blue tac only. Balloons must be foil balloons only, for health and safety precautions we do not allow latex balloons or balloons that pose a choking hazard   on the premises.  The Playbarn’s House Rules also apply as well as Covid-19 rules. These can be found in-house and on our website.


House Rules


Full House Rules can be sent to you via email and are available on the premises. Our core rules are listed below, please ensure you follow these along with any Covid-19 guides and signs.


House Rules MUST be followed: failure to do so may result in cancellation of your party.


All parties must provide the name of the designated adult that will be supervising the children in Barnington (role play village)


The designated adult MUST supervise the children adequately; damage and breakages due to non supervision and rough antisocial behaviour will be charged for.


Absolutely no food and drink in the play area


Only one social bubble in each section as signposted


Hands MUST be sanitised before entry into the playbarn and play area


Children are to play in their dedicated age zones only


Currently cakes, candles and singing are not permitted. We recommend individual cupcakes.

  

External Entertainers


Outside companies such as face painters, magicians etc must be agreed by management prior to the party. All external entertainers must have valid public liability insurance and DBS checks.
